Tenax Tixo Ex Transparent Knife Grade: Premium Italian Made Glue
Tixo Ex Knife Grade is a transparent (yellow color resin) high viscosity polyester adhesive used to vertically or horizontally repair, rebuild, bond, and fill. For use on ALL Natural Stone like Granite, Marble, Quartzite & Engineered Stone, Quartz. Smooth in consistency, easy to stir and spread and will cure shiny. It is polishable and tintable with universal color pastes to match the stone it is being used to bond. It cures fast and in low temperatures while maintaining a strong bond. Not suitable for temperatures below 0°C. Recommended for interior use only.
Technical Specs:
- Ratio of glue to hardener: 100: 2-3% in weight
- Gel time in bulk at 25°C: 4-5 min
- Tacky free time at 25°C: 12-15 min
- Working time at 25°C: 20 min
- Temp range for use after hardening: 0°C to 110°C
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
- Make sure the surface to be treated is dry, clean and free of dust.
- Always mix the glue, coloring paste and hardener outside of the can.
- If coloring, add the color paste to the resin before mixing it with the catalyst. Do not exceed the maximum amount of 2-3% in weight for the coloring pastes. An excess of coloring paste may affect the final product so use with caution.
- Mixing ratio of resin to catalyst is 100: 2-3. Stir vigorously and apply. Do not place unused product back in can.
- Make sure the cans are sealed tightly after use.
SHELF LIFE:
Keep the can can closed after using. Keep away from heat, humidity and sunlight. Product will last at least 12 months if kept between 18°C – 25°C.
