The Mangia Macchia Stain Remover is a special poultice / paste product formulated to remove stains on natural stone materials such as marble, granite, limestone, travertine, slate, terracotta and ceramics.

Its chemical composition allows it to deeply absorb resistant and common stains, such as oil, industrial grease, coffee, food, ketchup and other organic stains, to restore the stone surface back to its original beauty

The paste will not damage the stone’s polish/shine, and will not leave shades.

Instructions for Use:

  • Read instructions printed on the container and ALWAYS DO A TEST PATCH BEFORE USE
  • Before applying the product, mix the paste thoroughly to blend the components.
  • Apply a thin layer (approx. 5mm or 1/4″ to 1/2″ thick) of poultice on the area to be treated using a spatula.
  • Completely cover the treated area with a plastic film such as common plastic wrap to ensure that the paste remain moist as the product works to absorb the stain out of the surface.
  • After 2-3 hours remove the plastic film and let the paste dry out naturally. For deeply embedded stains, you may want to leave the plastic film on for as long as 24 hours max.
  • Depending on temperature and humidity, the poultice will dry after approx. 8-10 hours (up to 24 hours). The paste will appear like dry mud, whitish in color and can be removed with a spatula or brush.
  • Depending on the intensity of the stain, it might be necessary to repeat the application until complete elimination of the stain.

Additional Suggestions for Application:

  • The poultice should adhere well to the substrate to improve its effectiveness.
  • In the case of removing oil stains, make sure that the paste is properly applied, because its adhesion will be less than usual.
  • Once treatment of the surface is completed, clean any remaining residue off with a stone cleaner. We would recommend sealing the surface with a sealer. Check out our selection of Stone Sealers.
